A brass ball valve is a type of valve that's commonly used in plumbing and industrial systems to control the flow of liquids or gases. It's named for the spherical (ball-like) disc at its center that has a hole or port through the middle.
Brass ball valves are commonly used in water supply lines, gas lines, and HVAC systems, among other uses. They are operated by a handle that's turned to open or close the valve. The handle usually aligns with the hole in the ball when open, providing a quick visual indication of the valve's status.
